Voting Question: dream about a dead friend?
So Im at my church or what appears to be my church on the outside, but inside is like a flea market or something. There is a huge ( I’m not racist by anymeans here just stating whats in my dream) african american guy on the pulpit but he is almost deamon like (also note i grew up in a small town in oklahoma, no african americans in my hometown) I keep walking around and the only thing im interested in looking at is jewelry, but there is only really odd and stange jewelry at this place (almost has an eerie feeling to it) then a friend of a friend runs in and tells me that someone has hit my truck. When I go outside to look, my dead friend is driving the car and he has this blank (zombie like) look on his face but he doens’t get out of the car. The two other guys (who i can’t identify) get out and start chasing people or just running around in general. We are in my church parking lot and it seems as if it is total chaos. people running around and shouting, something catches fire and people are trying to put it out. but my dead friend just sits in the car he rearended my truck in and stares at me.
I was close to this friend but not “close” close. He was a few years younger than me. When i got pregnant, i hadn’t talked to this friend in a long time and had kinda forgotten about him and ended up naming my kid the same name as him just different spelling by pure accident. don’t know if that has any significance or not but might be helpful.
My friend died almost two years ago…. so it has been a while and i have never dreamed about him before

Resolved Question: Why do some people consider the World Wide Church of God to be a cult?
I know they used to believe during the 1980’s that Europeans were the 12 tribes of Israel. That is Christian Identity, which is no different than the klan’s view on Christianity. But I haven’t gone to that church since I was a boy. My grandpa went to that church, but he has been gone for 10 years. I know that the World Wide Church of God elected some man to be the leader who was of non white heritage. I believe he might have been Turkish. I remember that they changed a lot of their views. They no longer made women wear dresses (as far as I know), and they might have allowed their members to eat pork.

Please update me on this church? I remember they even started to do missionary work in Africa, which wasn’t something that Pastor Armstrong would have been interested in. I remember the head of the church died in 1985, and that his son Garner Ted Armstrong had been kicked out of the church years earlier.

Please update me on their views now a days. I used to go with my grandpa to the Feast of Tabernacles. It was really boring for me though. It was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and we had to go to church all day long. I know the women also were not allowed to wear make up, but they wore a lot of jewelry.

How has this church changed? I typed in the word cult, and they came up as the third website. I don’t consider them a cult, just a fundamentalist church who believes a lot of the old testament along with the new testament. They seemed rather harmless. They wouldn’t be a church I would attend though. It was a time I could spend with my grandpa when I was little. I would go to church with him on saturdays. Then I would go to church with my mom on sunday mornings, sunday evenings and wed evenings. So I attended a lot of church when I was little.

Right now I go to a local Lutheran church rarely on a sunday morning. Before I was Baptist and Nazarene.
Well the answer of “all religions are cults” is to easy. I want to know what has been going on with the World Wide Church of God.
